We have lived in our Pioneer Model log home for three years. We had built several homes over the years and this is by far our favorite home. We customized the plans to get just what we wanted. Buckhorn Builders and Mr. Troyer are so easy to work with. We added a pavilion and pool to the back of our house and it honestly feels like we are on vacation every day. Our new cabin on Buckeye Lake is everything we hoped for and more. Paul accommodated all of our special requests and there were many! The quality of work was superior to a home that is built on site. We love our new custom home! We took our preliminary design to Paul and sat down with him to draft up our dream home. He always had time for us, answering any questions and addressing any concerns that we had. Once we had everything designed and prepared the house went together without issue. Prefabrication is the way to go. It's so much more efficient and decreases the build time. We didn't have to worry about delays with subcontractors or weather conditions, etc.. We were in the house in 2 months after delivery which saved us thousands in interests payments since we weren't waiting long for the build to be complete. I have worked with many builders and contractors in the past but this group is by far the best. Many thanks to Paul and the entire crew at Buckhorn Builders.
Despite a pandemic that has changed everything, often at a moment's notice, Paul and his team did what they said when they said they were going to do it! From planning to final delivery of our home I never heard the words "no" or "we can't." What I did consistently hear is, "We want you to be happy in your new home." They are master craftsmen, hard-working, attentive to every detail, honest, & trustworthy! We arrived at Buckhorn Builders with a drawing in hand and they made it happen and in a short amount of time! When the house was completed, we received a phone call that after recalculating, we had overpaid. Who does that? With that money, we hired them to finish our basement while we were in Florida for the winter. That’s the kind of trust that we had with this crew and their company!
